I deliberately avoid detailing in my works, leaving the viewer space for imagination."
Biography
Artist Statement
Through painting, I explore themes of Ukrainian identity, femininity, memory, and emotional presence. My works combine personal experiences with cultural imagery, creating a space where tenderness, strength, and vulnerability coexist.
A central focus of my practice is the image of the woman — as a carrier of memory, intuition, and inner resilience. Inspired by Ukrainian culture, traditional symbolism, and emotional states of everyday life, I seek to capture moments that feel both intimate and timeless.
In the series Heat, I turn to the atmosphere of summer, bodily presence, sunlight, and inner stillness. The beach becomes a metaphorical space of openness and freedom, where human emotions appear especially sincere and unguarded. Through warm color palettes and expressive forms, I explore the connection between the body, memory, and sensation.
In my work, I am interested in how color and composition can preserve fleeting emotional states. My paintings are an attempt to hold onto fragile feelings of silence, warmth, and nostalgia, transforming them into visual narratives.
